Well- there IS nothing so constant as change!!!!!
Fell down two weeks ago and broke my ankle,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,DUH
AND... now I am making small layered acrylic collages (again) and THINKiNG about getting a camper and going on an adventure for a year or two.
I have injured my right side three times in the past three months and I'm thinking that the message is to stop striving (right being my male energy) . Sitting here in some frustration the word "coracle" came to me. My immediate idea of that was drifting in a lake in a tiny boat in sun, safety and peace. WOW.
Looking it up, etc. come to find out that it is Welsh boat, used for fishing (getting food) and is driven by "controlled drifting". Also find that Welsh monks took pilgrimages in coracles - they didn't care so much where they went, knowing that the journey was within and perhaps aided by the risk taking without.
In this ankle rebuilding process the idea of going motorhoming full time struck me and honestly it is the most exciting idea I have had in years. Rent the house, take the puppies. Visit family WITH a "room of her own", go to Tubac or the like in the winter and go all over the country in the 'driveable' months. Find galleries in person, see new landscape both within and without, meet new folks, learn stuff.
I am investigating putting up a website on "Artista: Full Timer" and see what I can come up with that can make me enough to live comfortably on the road!! (I am not expecting to make my basic living - if I have learned anything in this life it is that that takes time!!)
AND NOW a friend of mine is opening a gallery in Madrid and most especially wants the "still lifes" to hang - it always comes in herds, doesn't it?
